Future Goals
The learning objectives that I have set for myself at the beginning of my internship include:

Working in the Indianapolis area

Staying within a healthcare setting, specifically within the SAMHSA framework

Ultimately ending up in business development within the next year.
These goals still stand today and I am excited to pursue my next steps upon graduation.
Future Learning
To achieve these goals, I plan on developing myself professionally through continued education, obtaining certifications, and increasing my network. Through continued education I can attend seminars to enhance my knowledge of the field I work in, read books as well as listen to podcasts that are related to Substance Use and Mental Health and even explore Master degree programs within the next year or two. Certifications I can obtain after graduation include Trauma Informed Care, Harm Reduction, and Certified Case Manager. To increase my network I can attend conferences and workshops hosted by experts in the field, seek a mentor that is able to provide guidance and support to me in my career, and collaborate with as many colleagues and supervisors as I can to form relationships that will last throughout my career as a healthcare professional.
