In my role as a Patient Care Technician, I have learned the importance of patient safety and comfort in a healthcare setting. My responsibilities working under this role involved checking people in, taking them back to the room and performing vitals, relaying any important information back to the provider, and performing tests. I gained hands on experience working with patients, cleaning exam rooms in the proper manner, working in a fast paced environment, navigating EMR systems, and getting some background on insurance.

Working at The Little Clinic has prepared me for my future as a healthcare professional in many ways. I was able to gain practical experience in the field of healthcare, specifically in a clinical setting. It has also enhanced my communication skills when it comes to addressing patients needs as well as working along side with others and collaborating together. I can confidently say that because of this experience I feel more comfortable with the aspects of patient safety and providing high quality care in a healthcare setting.
